have a score rating of 5 "Very Good" with Environmental
Health for our food preparation and have prepared a healthy and
nutritious 5 week rolling Menu.
We are working towards a Healthy Pre-School Scheme which will give us the same award as our primary schools for the development of the healthy, happy child. Our children also benefit from the Designed to Smile oral health scheme developing the awareness of the importance of eating healthily and brushing and taking care of our teeth. We promote the use of doidy cups in every child in the Nursery when going through the weaning stage and until the child has developed the skills of using a cup independently. We also encourage all our children to drink water and milk only in between their meals.
Our children's physical play is an important part of their day and we have waterproof protectors so that we can encourage all weather play outside in our large garden which has an all weather surface making all seasons outdoor play much more accessible.
We are a bi-lingual Nursery, offering the children the use of English and Welsh through stories, rhymes, songs, oracy and all their learning opportunities. We have a qualified Welsh Teacher who is dedicated to promoting the use of the Welsh language and planning the children's activities each term.
We are an equal opportunities environment incorporating all cultures and ethnic minority families.
Children with additional needs can be well supported with experienced staff. Our building downstairs is wheelchair friendly.
